The mock analyzer is a local development and training tool. It communicates only with OIE, never directly with HMIS.

Supported modes

  • HTTP JSON for result-API troubleshooting.
  • ASTM/TCP for analyzer-style result transmission.
  • HL7 ORU^R01 over MLLP, including receipt of an MSA|AA acknowledgement.

Test flow

  1. Dispatch a new specimen in HMIS.
  2. Scan or enter its specimen barcode in the mock analyzer.
  3. Query the OIE-backed worklist.
  4. Enter only the mapped test results shown in the worklist.
  5. Transmit using ASTM or HL7.
  6. Confirm the result/audit entry in HMIS.
Use Repeat message only to deliberately test idempotency. Never reuse a message ID with changed result contents.
